Before using a sensor, it is important to ensure that the laser beam will not damage the sensor coating. The damage threshold
is also wavelength dependent, and maximum energy density thresholds are listed for common laser wavelengths in the table
below. At other wavelengths it is safe to interpolate between the listed values.
